Dear All,
Greetings from the Centre for Excellence in Teacher Education (CETE), TISS, Mumbai. We are writing this email to invite applications for the Rachana Fellowship Winter School at CETE, TISS, Mumbai.

We are organising a 5-day long winter school for student teachers from all over India and possibly from other countries in South Asia from 1 November to 5 November 2023. The target audience is final-year students of B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed, B.A.-B.Ed and B.El.Ed.

The Winter School is planned with the following objectives in mind:

1. To introduce the latest pedagogic innovations in the core school
subjects to student teachers.
2. To expose student teachers to some of the key issues and cutting-edge
educational research.
3. To build a pan-India community of committed teachers to initiate an
exchange of ideas and innovations.

Similar summer/winter schools are organized by science research institutes for students of pure science. Rachana Fellowship Winter school, organized by the Centre for Excellence in Teacher Education is the first of its kind program for students of education and the upcoming winter school will be the second winter school in the series. A maximum of 20 students will be selected for each of the four pedagogic domains (English, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences). Thus, a total of 80 students will be selected.
