I am recruiting a PhD student to work with me on a new AI in educational project at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The project explores how AI-based learning tools can support children’s active, minds-on learning rather than passive answer-seeking, through studies of children’s interactions with AI tools, co-design with children, parents, and educators, and the development of pedagogically responsible design resources. Applicants with backgrounds in education and learning sciences, educational psychology, educational technology, HCI, child-computer interaction, or related fields are very welcome.
