We are pleased to announce that the conference "Synergies and Connections for the Future in STEM Education from a Mathematical [Modeling] Perspective - SCOPE-Math" will take place September 22-25, 2026, in the beautiful and well-connected city of Würzburg, Germany. Initial information (e.g., deadlines) on this ERME Topic Conference (ETC) is now available at http://scopemath.org. The full conference website will be available at the same URL starting in October 2025.

The conference will offer, among other things, an exciting program for early career researchers. In addition, high-profile speakers have been invited for the keynotes (Lyn English, Zehavit Kohen) and the plenary panel (including Michelle Fitzpatrick, Hee-Jeong Kim, Kate le Roux and Koeno Gravemeijer). The conference will focus on the following key topics:
1.⁠ ⁠Digitalization in disruptive times
2.⁠ ⁠Aspects of sustainability
3.⁠ ⁠Integrity of mathematics in STEM
4.⁠ ⁠Cross-theme relationships: Mathematical modeling in STEM

All information will be available on our website. In addition to the September conference, we will hold a pre-conference virtually for early career researchers interested in attending the full conference. The dates for the pre-conference will be posted on the conference website.
