Hello,

I am new to this group and would like to share an opportunity to participate in our effort to develop guidelines for AI use in STEM education research.

We invite you to submit your interest in 1) participating in a workshop designed to develop guidelines on how to responsibly use AI in STEM education research and/or 2) providing asynchronous review of the materials produced.

The (limited space) workshop will be held Nov. 3-4, 2025, in Chicago, IL. Expressions of interest are due September 12, 2025. The asynchronous reviews will be virtual with at least one supporting virtual meeting. The workshop will be in-person.

Anyone in the community is welcome to apply and we have limited travel support to cover travel for those who may need it. Though every applicant will be considered (and we encourage you to apply), we are particularly interested in those who have some level of AI development experience, education researchers with experience conducting research in STEM, or those who have knowledge in more than one impact area (e.g., environmental impact, data re-identification, AI system biases and accuracy).

For more information, please visit graiser.org or contact Monica (mon...@csedresearch.org) or Julie (ju...@csedresearch.org).

Thanks for your consideration!
