We also have some sad news to share. Dr. James (Jim) T. Fey, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics and Secondary Education at the University of Maryland, passed away on July 9, 2025. Jim joined the faculty at the University of Maryland in 1969 and stayed active in mathematics education even after his retirement in 2008. Over his career, Jim taught and/or mentored many math teachers, math teacher educators, and math education researchers.
