The Department of Mathematics and ICT Education at the University of Cape Coast, in proud collaboration with a Group of Researchers on Sociocultural Issues in Mathematics Education (GRSIME), is thrilled to announce the inaugural of the 1st International Conference on Sociocultural Issues in Mathematics Education (ICSIME1). The ICSIME1, which will be held at the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Cape Coast, aims to address the systemic inequities, exclusions, and cultural disconnects that exist within mathematics education by promoting culturally responsive mathematics curricula and teaching practices.
