This course offers a comprehensive introduction to culturally responsive mathematics teaching, focusing on inclusivity, cultural relevance, and the humanizing aspects of education. Over four sessions, participants will explore foundational principles, learn about culturally relevant practices, adapt curriculum activities, and build lessons using the Hope Wheel framework. The course aims to empower educators to create math lessons that not only educate but also inspire and empower students as active agents of change within their communities.
