We are now looking for 5–6 doctoral students who want to be involved in developing research on mathematics education.
For many years, MDU's research has taken place in classrooms through, among other things, research-based teaching materials and close collaboration with teachers and school principals. We are now further strengthening this work through two new graduate schools funded by Vetenskapsrådet.
As a doctoral student with us, you get both a strong academic environment and close connection to the school's practice. You don't do research alongside teaching, you do research in the middle of it. If you are passionate about maths, teaching and development, this is a very good place to be."
The graduate school AMTLR (Advancing research on the Mathematics Teaching-Learning Relationship) focuses on the connections between teaching and learning in mathematics.
REMATH II (Researching Practice-Based Mathematics Teacher Education) focuses on how teacher education can become more practice-oriented and research-based.
