Dear colleagues,

On behalf of guest editors Alejandro Gozalez-Martin, Ignasi Florensa, and Ghislaine Gueudet, I am pleased to announce a call for extended abstracts for an upcoming special issue (SI) for the International Journal of Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. The SI will focus on University teachers' practices, knowledge, and training. Please see the attached pdf for more information.

According to the editors:
"We invite abstracts that report on studies that provide novel insights into at least one of the following interrelated themes:
  1. Knowledge for teaching developed by university mathematics teachers by teaching, its development and characteristics.
  2. The training and professionalisation of university mathematics teachers.
  3. University mathematics teachers’ practices, including: the relationship between their research and teaching practices, the influence of disciplinary training on teaching practices, adaptation of teaching practices to student profiles in STEAM degrees, assessment strategies, use of technology in teaching, teaching practices and equity, etc.
  4. University teachers and research-based interventions, such as inquiry-based teaching and associated teacher practices, professional development related to research-based interventions, and teacher involvement in educational research.
  5. Theoretical and methodological approaches developed to investigate these issues.
  6. Bridges and collaborations between researchers in mathematics education and university mathematics teachers.
Note that extended abstracts are due on May 31, 2025.

Please feel free to reach out to the guest editors with any questions (contact information is provided in the attached document).

Thank you!
