Community of Math Education Researchers!
Greetings of the day

I’m Mohammed Abdul Shakoor, a doctoral student at the RJM Centre for Educational Innovation, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, India. Along with me is my colleague Mrs. Nawazish Parween, a doctoral student at Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi, India,

We have developed a course of independent study focused on Research in Mathematics Education. The course explores key theoretical & conceptual frameworks, methodological approaches, and empirical studies shaping the field. It is designed to help doctoral researchers gain a broad, critical understanding of the landscape of mathematics education research.

To enhance this learning experience, we are launching a peer-learning study group for PhD scholars working in or around mathematics education. Here's what you can expect as part of this study group:

  • Fortnightly online sessions to discuss key readings from the course

  • Collaborative learning with peers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds

  • Guest interactions with professors and researchers on their famous writings

  • A space to deepen conceptual clarity and explore emerging debates in math education research

If you’re a doctoral student (or early career researcher) in this area and interested in growing through collective inquiry, we invite you to join us!
