Abstract:
This special issue aims to renew mathematics teaching practices from preschool to Grade 6. Despite a substantial body of research demonstrating the importance of active and contextualized approaches, mathematics teaching remains largely characterized by procedural methods. This issue explores approaches that foster exploration, reasoning, and the co-construction of knowledge. Contributions grounded in rigorous theoretical frameworks and methodologies will address conceptual understanding, inclusive practices, orthodidactics, and collaboration among educational stakeholders, to better understand the conditions that support innovation and continuity in learning.
