Applied mathematics at iit roorkee

Sir, my jee rank this year is 5906. And i was considering applied maths at iitr.  Can you please tell me about the placements of this branch and the average package ? And what kind of companies or firms are the students placed in ? I would also like to know about the research opportunities ?
