Meet the CBSE 2015 Toppers

M. Gayatri: All India CBSE Topper (496/500).

Her math teacher, Mrs. Nirupama Mahopatra Das is a member of this forum. Maybe she can tell us more about Gayatri. Or even encourage Gayatri to respond to this forum and share her views on what it takes to get 100% in maths. Mrs. Das shared with me that Gayatri never took extra tuitions :-) Brilliant isn't it?

In this interview Gayatri supports the CBSE maths paper setters and shares her views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usqj-6LQXrY

All India CBSE Rank II Holders (495/500)

Mythilli Mishra
It's never fun to lose the top spot by 0.2% marks. But, Mythilli is not complaining. She feels its not how many hours you study that is important. Watch her views on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwlHIPwAlr4

B. Arjun
B Arjun of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, bagged the second rank along with two other students, and emerged the state topper. Arjun, is the son of Balgovind Kunhiraman, a former Naval officer who is now based in the UAE, and Sujatha Balgovind. He scored 495 out of 500 in the science stream. Arjun wants to be a computer engineer. Meet him at https://youtu.be/bIP7LevzY_8?t=3m55s (There seems to be a sound problem in this video. Will try to get a better one soon)

Saurabh Bhambri

For Saurabh Bhambri of KRM World School in Greater Kailash II, it was the balancing act that did the trick. “I was never really immersed in books, nor was I not doing anything. I basically paid attention in class and revised what was taught,” he said. A music fanatic and a black stripe in Taekwondo, he will soon be heading to the UK to pursue a degree in Political Science and International Relations.

All India CBSE Rank III holder with 494/500

Poonam Kumari: Haryana CBSE Topper
I am happy because my father congratulated me over telephone from Jammu & Kashmir and told me that he has distributed sweets to other armymen of his regiment,” said Poonam, daughter of an Amryman who is posted in J&K. Listen to her at  https://youtu.be/i9e1Mn0CvuU?t=3m7s

Gurwinder Singh
Bagged the third rank in the country with self study as he didn’t take any tuition throughout his class 12  To read more about how we succeeded click here.

S. Nishok Kumar

“Right from my childhood computers and internet were my attraction. I have developed a few applications in the past. I want to join computer science engineering in one of the IITs. I did not sit for a long time to study but made sure I focussed all the time on study,” a jubilant Kumar said. Read more...
