Contents of a "remark" or "note"

Mitch writes on the schema thread about "remark" (which is also just like "note").

I conceive of these as being "not too complicated" and so was restrictive in the schema.  Partly to provoke discussion like this.  With the new role for "sidebyside" and this week's improvements, that should be added.  That will allow lots of items, and I might use the "no-captions" version in the schema.

So a good first question:  should figure (and other captioned items, which all have a number) go into a remark?

Yes: no technical reason not too.  Keep it like "example" and "project" which can hold captioned items.

No: a "remark" should be bigger/heavier than an "aside" and smaller/lighter than an "example".

@Mitch - you could point us to your two lightest and heaviest remarks in your book?
