After a bit of guidance and DF's suggestion, I set my 'mbx' preference in Sublime to use 2 spaces for my tabstops...

I wanted to set-up the same for .ptx files. (I'm starting a new project, which I figured I might as well start with .ptx extensions), however, sublime doesn't seem to recognize .ptx as a different from xml extension...

Is this a simple fix somewhere (like in the mathbook sublime extension?) ... or is this a wait for a while and leave them as either mbx or basic xml files for now...

No good reason to wait. But I never set up *.mbx since I knew there would be a
name change someday. ;-) Following is un-tested.

1. Make an empty file junk.ptx

2. Click on button in very lower-right that should say "Plain Text".

3. Try the option at the top that says "Open all with current extension as.."
and then choose XML.

If you report back, I'll add to the documentation.

I once looked at how to modify/extend "smart" tab-completion in Ubuntu at the
command-line (since xsltproc "knows" it needs *.xml and *.xsl files) and it
seemed quite a rathole. I turned and ran. But if anybody knows how to make
personal modifactions to this scheme, please let us know.

Rob,

I tried this:

" "Open all with current extension as.." and then choose XML. "

but instead of choosing XML I chose MathBookXML, it was there since I had the MBXTools loaded into Sublime.  As far as I can tell that seems to confer on the ptx file all the benefits of MBXTools that I have gotten used to using with .mbx files and allows use the build file I had put together.

Good news, thanks. Now we just need to get Dave R to do a name change like the
rest of us. ;-)

I have been thinking about the best way to do it. It looks like I won't have any time to update MBXTools this summer, so I will probably just rename the package as described at packagecontrol.io.
