I got a little bit confuse on doing this decimal division by hand.

124.12 / 4

why? because the fact that after the point zero matters.

Let's see a pseudo example:

2002 / 91

We'll take 91 and say it goes into 2 how many times? The answer is ZERO, but since we're
in integer a zero to the left does not matter so we don't write it. But after the point a zero to the left
DOES MATTER and needs to be written down.

Try 124.12 / 4 (by hand and you'll see what I mean)

I mean this is basic arithmetic but the use of a calculator made me forget how to do it by hand.

Enjoy.

Side note:

124.12 / 4 is easy because a can be decomposed into parts that are
*multiple of 4:

(120 + 4 + 0.12)/4 = 120/4 + 4/4 + 0.12/4 = 30+1+0.3 = 31.03

Typo: *0.3 = 0.03

Yeah I got it, it just confused me on the beginning.

Keep on it.

A technique taught in 4th grade math is simply multiplying by the appropriate proper power of ten, and then dividing again.....

as in:
1234.12 / x   =   123412 / x / 100

that way, you keep tings simple...
