FYI: IB Program at Clark; Math Rocks

Hi friends and neighbors,
There was a PISD-sponsored Math Rocks parent information meeting this evening at Schimelpfenig Middle School.
It’s our understanding from the moderator, Karen Sealy, Secondary Math Coordinator-PISD, that two big changes will take place. Some of this data was shown in a slide presentation.
1. The IB (International Baccalaureate) Program, currently at Clark HS, will move to Plano East Senior HS starting in the 2013-2014 school year;
2. Math Rocks ends after 8th grade (a funding issue).
Please correct me if I’m wrong. I would appreciate hearing from other parents who attended any of the meetings this week.
