Greetings!  I hope you will be attending the sectional meeting of the Oklahoma/Arkansas of the Mathematical Association of America in Edmond at the University of Central Oklahoma on March 31 - April 1 this year.

Also, I hope your department will be sending one (or more) teams, each consisting of 2 or 3 undergraduate students, to compete in the Math Jeopardy Competition on Thursday, March 31.

If your department does decide to send a team, the time to arrive at UCO to check in and register will be no later than 6 pm on Thursday, March 31.  We will try to begin the competition by 6:30 pm.

Attached to this email are two powerpoint documents that contain typical questions that will be used in the competition in order to help your undergraduate students prepare for the competition.  If you have difficulty opening the attachments, please let me know.

Immediately following the team competition there will be an individual competition - an integration bee.

Last year the first place team was from the University of Tulsa, and the second place team was from Cameron University.  The individual competition was won by Son Dang, a student at the University of Oklahoma.

I hope you can make the conference and that your department will send at least one team to participate.  If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank you for your time.
