For problems 8 and 18 in the homework, when we are asked to find the
steady periodic responses, can we use the formulas given to us in
class for finding the coefficients A and B, or do we have to derive
them?

Chris,
I recommend finding the steady periodic responses (A and B) yourself,
from first principles; or you could show how to derive the general
formulas that we stated in class, and then use them.

The point is that the homework gives you a chance to solidify your
understanding of where all the formulas come from!
