ASME B31.12 VS ASME B31.3 Welding Procedure

Dear Group Members,

I need expert judgment about welding procedure requirement for code ASME B31.12 (Hydrogen Piping & Pipeline) and ASME B31.3 are same?

Can i use a welding procedure which is qualified on ASME B31.3 code for Hydrogen piping & pipeline job too.

it depends on which subsection your piping falls into, either ASME IX or API 1104 to be used

Our project pipeline designed on ASME B 31.12. But client didn't mentioned which code we have to use for welding.

           Just go through ASME B31.12 Chapter GR-3, it's clearly states that in Para GR-3.2.4 (a & b)... 

It may guide you..
