Normally corrosion inhibitors will be added to water prior to its use in hydro-static testing of any vessel or tank. This is to prevent the possible growth of bacteria in water causing corrosion.
There are two possible methods of disposal of water after hydro-static testing :-
1) The water can be redirected to the same process system to be reused again or can be sent to Water Disposal Wells (WDW)
2) You can make temporary bunds of sufficient capacity (depending on the quantity of water to be disposed) at sufficient safe distance from the facility and pump the water to that temporary bunds. Remember to put proper barricade all around the periphery of the bund to ward off any animals like camels, herds of sheep, donkeys etc. getting trapped and causing further troubles to you.
