I agree with Mr. Pradip Goswani regarding mechanical properties of
FCAW wires. I have some experience with FCAW wires of the same AWS
classification, welded under the same conditions but showing complete
different mechanical properties afterwards, especially under fatigue
circumstances.
The fatigue strength of similar FCAW wires differs very much compared
to solid wires.
I suppose your tank with a diameter of 12 meters will be a kind of
storage tank and therefore will not undergo any cyclic load so fatigue
will not be an issue, if fatigue can be an issue than please take this
into account.
