Dear All

Is it possible to weld SS430(1.4016) with SS304(A2)  as well as SS430(1.4016) with SS430 (1.4016)

Please let me know, as after welding it gets brittle & breaks

Kindest Regards

Ishwar

Dear Sir,

You may use E309L / E310 L  SMAW electrode for  both the combinations and  do PWHT  at 800 deg. C

or  You may use GTAW with pulsing and use ER 309L / 310 L GTAW filler wires.

Hi

To weld SS430(1.4016) with SS304(A2) use E309L electrodes with proper preheating. No PWHT is required.

For welding SS430(1.4016) with SS430 (1.4016), use E430 or E430Nb electrodes with proper preheating and PWHT.

Regards

Prem Nautiyal
