Dear experts, How to calculate minimum leak path (MLP) for tube to
tube sheet joint,please give me refrence also . Thanks &

MLP is 1.4*tube thickness

Dear,

Leak path dimension is not mentioned in ASME section IX.

As per ASME Section IX, QW-193.1.3 Acceptance Criteria — Macro- Examination.

Using a minimum of 10X magnification, the exposed cross sections of the weld shall confirm

(a) minimum leak path dimension required by the design

Please refer EEMUA standard for better understanding & requirements for Tube to Tube sheet welding procedure.

EEMUA standard, clause no.3.2.1 - Visual Examination

On polishing & etching the section, the minimum throat thickness or leak path of each weld shall not be less than 0.7t, where t is the nominal wall thickness of the tube.

how to calculate minimum leak path for tube to tube sheet mockup test
Tube Thk : 1.65 mm
Tube-sheet : 50 mm

please provide formula
