Smiling Opens the Heart

Good feelings for others are like ointments that heal wounds and re-establish friendships and relationships. Good feelings are generated in the mind, are transmitted through your attitude and are reflected in your eyes and smile. Smiling opens the heart and a glance can make miracles happen.

SMILE IS A COOLING SYSTEM OF HEART,
SPARKLING SYSTEM OF EYES, LIGHTING SYSTEM OF FACE, RELAXING SYSTEM OF MIND....
SO TO ACTIVATE ALL YOUR SYSTEM

The following are the Code requirements for Category D butt welds:

UW-11 RADIOGRAPHIC AND ULTRASONIC EXAMINATION

(a) Full Radiography.

The following welded joints shall be examined radiographically for their full length in the

manner prescribed in UW-51:

(5)

all Category A and D butt welds in vessel sections and heads where the design of the joint or part is based

on a joint efficiency permitted by UW-12(a), .....

Nozzle size does not come into picture here. The butt joints need to be RTed depending on weld efficiency.

Yes, all nozzle to shell joints are category D welds.

There are many types of category D welds.
1) Category D groove welds - when nozzle is either set-on or set-in type.
2) Category D butt welds- when nozzle is having lip type ends..
3) Category D fillet welds- when nozzle to shell weld is fillet welded without full penetration.
