We have an issue in repair a pressure vessel.
Contractor not capable to do? But contractor is qualified for R-Stamp.
As company can we  go head in welding activities with our qualified welders and we don't want R Stamp - Is it acceptable? Because this activities ongoing in offshore shut down and we cannot wait as per schedule. I day barge cost is 3 million USD

Thanks
Regards,

If you don't want R stamp, then any contractor can do the job.

Dear Senthil

Only solution is discuss with the Client and close if the repair is not connected or in contact with the process medium flow (wet part).

On the otherhand please go through NBR instructions.

Hi Senthil,
If you do the repair, Your U stamp is not valid anymore. If your client accepts that, you may proceed as you do not want R stamp.
Thanks and Best regards,
K.Rajagopal
