Dear All
Can you please explain the below clause in AWS D1.1 regarding groove type:
I have a PQR qualified in Single V. Whether the WPS supporting this PQR can qualify Single Bevel?
Thanks and Regards
Harikrishnan

Any change in Groove type as below is considered essential variable.
1. Single Bevel
2. Double bevel
3.Single Vee
4. Double Vee
5.Single U
6.Double U
7. Single J
8.Double J
etc...
If there is a change in any of the Groove type, a new PQR shall be Qualified.
Exception : If your PQR is Qualified using any of the Groove types described in 3.12 or 3.13 using Complete Joint Penetration (CJP) then all the Groove types described in 3.12 or 3.13 is considered Qualified and the PQR can
be used without requalification.

Yes you can use . because the single bevel joint configuration is coming under CJP..( if the PQR is single V CJP )
