PQR for Piping - NDT Acceptance criteria

Hello Dears,

Please give you input when PQR for Piping done - Client spec is silent in NDT Acceptance criteria. Which code Acceptance criteria should use for NDT?

ASME B31.3 or ASME IX.

Consider ASME SECTION IX or BS EN ISO 15614-1 requirements in your qualification.

HI

you can refer only to ASME Sec IX for PQR because B31.3 also gives directions, But  NDT for piping welds you want to refer to B31.3 based on Category D,or M ... .

Hi Anna,

procedure qualification-

NDE acceptance criteria for welders or welding operators follows ASME SEC IX  {QW-304 volumetric NDE for welders , QW-191.1. RT 

QW-191.2 UT}.

ASME B31.3 acceptance criteria for production welding.
