Dear experts,

I have two PQR as  per AWS D1.1.
Process - FCAW without backing single side welding.
Thickness - 12 mm and 20 mm.

Can I make one WPS with the supporting of two PQR to use maximum thicknees in production welding.

Thanks and Regards,

Manoj.

Hi could you please elaborate what is the thickness range if the other PQR. Am surprised you have a PQR with FCAW without backing or back gouging, as FCAW us NOT recommended for open root.

Manoj,

As per AWS D1.1 you can use prequalified WPS , to cover maximum thickness.
