How to measure Electroless Nickel Plating (Coating) ?i would like to know the Instrument which is use for ENP Measurement.

You can go for wet chemical method like weight loss method for better results.

Dear Naushad,

Deposit ENP thickness can be measured by using sample coupons along with the parts, by means of weigh plate weigh method as per ASTM B733,para 9.3.5

If necessary, a microscopic examination of the cross section of the coupons can be carried out as per ASTM B733 para
9.3.1


If thickness is in the range of 25- 75 microns, i would suggest you to go for microscopic examination that shall be:-

Direct measurement by micrometer on coupons before and after the plating.

Acceptance: parts shall be considered non-conforming if one

measurement fails to meet the specified tolerance.
