Dear Experts,

Please what are the destructive/mechanical tests required to qualify welder for branch weld (pipe 24 in 11.13 mm into weldolet 1 in sch 160) of pipeline as per API 1104 21st edition.

From which clause/table I can find the requirement?

Thanks,
Mahmood

Welder qualification for the specific branch weld requires welding a full-scale test coupon that replicates

the branch weld dimensions, followed by destructive tests—primarily nick break, root bend, and face bend

tests—prepared according to the specimen configurations in Figures 10 and 11, meeting requirements set

forth in Clauses 5.7 and 6, and Tables 6 and 7 of API 1104, 21st edition.
