Dear all,

Considering we want to weld the inspection box in a water-cooled chimney for a fume hood in a steel plant. The tubes are a nominal diameter of 2 inches, SA210 mild steel (tubing material) with a wall thickness of approximately 0.22”.

1-What welding processes were used to butt weld the tubes to create the inspection opening in the fume hood?

2-would you give me a welding symbol?

3-What NDT method is better for inspection of fillet welds on the inspection box metal casing?

Thanks,
