Welding Electrode

• AWS E310-16: This electrode is suitable for welding 420 stainless steel and can provide good corrosion resistance and strength.
• AWS E309-16: This is another option that can be used for dissimilar metal welding, particularly when joining to other stainless steels.

Filler Wire

• ER310: This filler wire is often used for welding 420 stainless steel and provides similar properties as the E310 electrode.
• ER420: Specifically designed for martensitic stainless steels, this filler wire can help achieve the desired mechanical properties in the weld.

Additional Tips

• Preheat the base material if necessary, as it can help reduce the risk of cracking.
• Use proper post-weld heat treatment to minimize residual stresses and improve toughness.
