Hot-dip galvanized pipe is to make the molten metal react with the iron matrix to produce
an alloy layer, so that the matrix and the coating are combined.

1. The chemical combination varies as per the grade.
    for example, (Gr. 33, 37, 40, 50, 80 type as per ASTM A 653) has

    Carbon (C)              0.20 to 0.25 (max)
    Manganese (Mn)    1.35 (max)
    Sulphur (S)             0.04 (max)
    Phosphorous (P)    0.04 (max)

UTS                        45 to 82 Ksi.  (min. as per the grades)
    Yield                       33 to 80 Ksi.  (min. .........                   )
  % of El.           12 to 20    (min, .........           )

2. Grade CSA has  Mn 0.60 max. other elements more or less the same.
