UT is the best solution. Detection will be done from the flange surface of the T joint.
You may start with longitudinal waves and then recheck with transversal waves

The options are removal by grinding followed by PT or MPI. PT if properly used can give best results. Keep doing the grinding followed by test till there are no recordable indications. UT might not be the best method for cracks.
