Dear Hassan
Qualify your PQR with E7018 and check the tensile strength if the specimen breaks below the specified minimum tensile strength of the pipe material, the weld shell be set aside and new test weld shall be made with E 8018.
In Aramco we are using 7010-p1 in root and E8018-C3 for filling /capping for X65 pipes.

Dear Mr Dr. Georgios DilintasGood morningWith due respect.this 70ksi is the Tensile strength of E7018 but Yield strength is 58ksi.Our pipe API 5L X65 PSL2, its Yield strength is 65ksi and UTS is 77ksi.please suggest a SMAW Electrode and GTAW filler metal for this.
