Sub: ANNUAL WELDING SEMINAR – 2017 HOSTED BY IIW-India MUMBAI BRANCH
Greetings from Indian Institute of Welding (I.I.W.), Mumbai Branch.
This year, the Mumbai branch is hosting the Annual Welding Seminar on 25th January 2017 at Hotel Four Points by Sheraton, Navi Mumbai, Vashi, INDIA.
The theme of the seminar is: Recent Trends in Joining & Heat treatment. Experts from leading organizations will speak on the relevant topics.
This year the seminar includes the AWS (American Welding Society) Lecture 2017 on the topic of “Heat treatment of Welded Structures”.
This program is organized by The Indian Institute of Welding (Foundation), with active support of American Welding Society to bring experts from the USA to disseminate technical knowledge.
The present lecture series is aimed at sharing latest technical development in the field of heat treatment of welded structures with a focus on applications in the refineries, petrochemicals and heavy engineering industries. The guest speaker Mr. Christopher J. Bloch of USA is an advisor to the AWS D10 Committee for welding of tube and piping. He is also a member of the ASME peer review group for welding of ferritic creep resistant steels used in the construction of new power plants. He has extensive experience related to welding and corrosion issues related to power and refinery/petrochemical plants.
This event will provide an opportunity to network with experts and authorities as well as user-industry in the field of welding and heat treatment.
