Can anyone
advise me if the TIG Welding Procedure Specification used for mild steel can
also be used for 316L Stainless Steel of 25mm – 200mm Nominal Bore to
ASME IX?

Mild steel and S.S. 316L has different P. No. so it shall be different WPS.

Hi
As A Number, P Number is different, we cannot use MS procedure for SS. But for Welder Performance, We can use the welder qualified in MS GTAW, for welding SS GTAW only.
