Dear Members!

Project : Solar Power plant
Service : Hight Temperature Steam
Material : P91
Operating temperature range: 37 - 398 Degree Celsius
Construction Code : ASME B31.1
Welding Code : ASME Sec IX

Do we need to do 'Charpy Impact Test' for procedure qualification of
P91 material?

Mr Asif,

Charpy test is required to find the metal behavior at cryogenic temperatures, since your operating temperature is higher than zero temperature, this impact test is not  required.

Mahendran is correct. But i would like to suggest you to read far enough into technical specification. I've ever seen that charpy impact is still required although its temperature is not critical. Normally, impact test is not mandatory for temperature above zero.
