PWHT Holding Time requirement as per B31.3 latest revision

Dear Sirs,

As per B31.3 process piping Table 331.1.1-1 refers minimum holing time for PWHT P1 to P11A group materials
1hr/25 mm, 15 min minimum. Refer snap shot.
How can we interpret it ? As per 1hr/25 mm or only we can apply 15 min soaking time.

Kindly clarify.

It is a function of Thickness and that is the reason it is titled upto 50mm and above 50mm it will be 2Hours minimum . This thickness Title is common for P1 to P11A, for example P5B even 5 mm requires PWHT for which this 15minutes applicable.

In the case of PWHT is mandatory and Soaking time is found less than Min 15 Minute, Then we can perform at least 15 Minute soaking time.
