Hi experts in welding inspection
Is attached highlighted undercut acceptable assuming the depth in pipe edge is max 0.5 mm
pipe is welded to slip on flange from front side so it is internal weld from flange face side
construction code is ASME B31.3
Can you refer to code sections?

Please refer table 342.x ..I am not recalling exactly. ..as per the service class requirement of the product. And those are open to surface you can file them or remove them.

Hi Martin,
A little bit of grinding to remove undercuts and subsequent GTAW wash pass (w/wout filler metal) would solve the problem. Depending on the corrosivity of process fluids, undercuts may initiate leaks also.
