Internal Bore Welding for U bundle connection to tube sheet.

DEAR MEMBERS,

         Can any one explain what is (internal bore welding),

I got this query from Stamicarbon catalogue for Safurex welding. Describing Internal Bore Welding for connecting of U bundle to tube sheet crevice.  It is also mentioned that Safurex Materials can be welded without addition of filler wire, Since welding of Safurex Material without filler material is a must.

Dear Sir,

Internal bore welding is basically an orbital welding wherein the weld head goes inside the tube and welds the tube to tubesheet joint. Its a very complex activity wherein the welding is almost blind. You can imagine a welding torch (GTAW) getting inside a 1" dia tube and carrying out the welding. The heads are available which can even supply filler wire to the weld.
