AWS D1.1-2004/Cl4.10.3 & Table 4.2

Hi

 

As per table 4.2 , CJP groove WPS qualifies the PJP welds.

 

But  in Cl. 4.10.3 , what is necessary to go for the three macroetch to verify the weld size?

 

Just gone through the Jan 2009 Welding Journal Interpretation, it was clared that, it has to bee tested for the weld size with Macro tests.

 

Pls share your views on this conflict.
