1. What is 4130 material
2. 4130 is under which specification
3. If 4130 is a general term for some group of material, what are the material that are called 4130

4130 material falls under A519 (standard specification for seamless carbon and alloy steel mechanical tubing)

Its a grade of A519 material.

The 4130 is a code of AISI and defines the approximate chemical composition of the steel where in 42 denotes low alloy steel containing approximate 1% Chromium and 0.2% Moly so it is called Chromoly. The 30 mean it contain 0.30% Carbon.
