Have seen the details and comments as follows:
1. The welds shown in the middle pic. (think it should be with E 347-15) are no doubt good.
2. Coating on L H type electrodes are bit medium heavy. Stringer runs always gives very good bead finish and ripple factors.
3. On the other hand the bead done with E 347-16 (3rd pic.) was more wide i.e., it is a weave bead and produces
more heat in put and poor ripples - that is what you have got.
4. Stringer run produces less heat in put competitively and is good for SS welding. Weaving if done should be restricted to
max. 2 times dia. of core wire to get best results.
5. Blue colour seen on the weld bead is due to formation of Chromium-oxides and may result in corrosion while in service..
It is not desirable.
6. Use stringer runs with E347-16 also throughout like in basic coated electrodes and you will get same results.
