Dear Shaikh,

4.2 Inspection certificate 3.2 “type 3.2”
Document prepared by both the manufacturer’s authorized inspection representative, independent of the manufacturing department and either the purchaser’s authorized inspection representative or the inspector designated by the official regulations and in which they declare that the products supplied are in compliance with the requirements of the order and in which test results are supplied.
It shall be permissible for the manufacturer to transfer on to the inspection certificate 3.2 relevant test results
obtained by specific inspection on primary or incoming products he uses, provided that the manufacturer operates
traceability procedures and can provide the corresponding inspection documents required.

Hence as per your shot 3.2 certification required.

Thanks & Regards,

Umesh

Hi
MTC's are normally a 3.1 certificate, however we could not judge with above snapshot, it is a 3.1 or 3.2 certificate.

With Kind Regards

Greetings,

Your below clause mandating 3.2.

Differences between EN 10204-3.1 and 3.2 for the MTC

EN 10204 contains 4 types of document type, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2. Type 2.1 and 2.2 are validated by the manufacturer. Type 3.1 and 3.2 are not only validated by manufacturer.
Type 2.1, The content is statement of compliance with the order. Validated by manufacturer.
Type 2.2, Statement of compliance with the order, with indication of results of non specific inspection. Validated by manufacturer.
Type 3.1, Statement of compliance with the order, with indication of results of specific inspection. Authorized inspection representative by the manufacturer, but is independent of the manufacturing department.
Type 3.2, Statement of compliance with the order, with indication of results of specific inspection. Authorized inspection representative by the manufacturer, independent of manufacturing department and either the buyer’s authorized inspection representative or the inspector designated by the official regulations.

Thanks

Hi Ahmed,

The sentence or the clause or the snapshot might be intended for a ready stock material purchase.
It may be understood or considered as the mill test certificate is a 3.1 certificate and shall be endorsed with a TPIA-Inspector or Source Inspector (for visual, dimensional, chemical and and physical properties are verified as per material specification requirements (ASTM or API 5L spec or etc.) as an additional authentication for acceptance of the ready stock material.

So, the MTC will not be 3.2 certificate and it is 3.1 certificate.

With Regards

Dear Mr.Ahmed,

As per your mail,  please find below difference between EN 10204 - 3.1 & 3.2 certificate.

EN 10204 - 3.1 :

Mill test certificate should be verified / Checked by Manufacture QA/QC Personnel.

EN 10204 - 3.2:

Mill test certificate should be verified / Checked by Third party Inspector  ( other than Manufacture QA/QC personnel.)

So your snapshot is asking you to provide EN 10204- 3.2 certificate.

Note : EN 10204 pdf attached for your reference.

Thanks & Regards,

Manikandan Nagarajan.

Hi

From your screen shot clause, we can predict it will be Type 3.2 certification only as per EN10204.

Since these activities involved  more Financial matters, These clarifications / confirmations might be obtained from client during bidding or TQ stage itself.

Sometime client may accept 3.1 certificate itself when material is supplied by reputed VENDORs. ( Check the Approved VENDOR list by client )

unless if  it is critical components like reactors, LNG storage tanks, etc..

Thanks and Regards

Hi Siraj,
Please be informed that here requirement is for 3.2 certification. Whenever there is requirement of certification by third party it is 3.2.
Hope, it is clear.

Thanks,
