Clarification Required

Dear Team,

As per ASME Sec IX 2021

IS 2062 E350 is an unassigned grade whish is not listed in the QW/QB_422 but our client is insisting us to add the material in P1 and G2 to perform the PQR and WPS qualification.

Kindly share your option on this

Not posible to correspond P number to material not included in Section IX.

Only will be qualified for the specific material.

Dear sir,

Can not use correspond IS 2062 E350 as P1 G2 group because it does not fall in QW 420.

Your procedure qualification should be as per Unassigned Metal to either assigned or Unassigned Group as per QW 424.
