Greetings
Below here is repair rate farmula

% RR = (Lr/ Lw) X 100
where:
% RR = percent repair rate.
Lr = welder's total length of repairs in one week, mm
Lw = welder's total length of weld radiographed in one week, mm

The repair percentage for 100% RT Joints may be calculated by the below 3 methods as recommended in the Client Specification.

1. Joint Wise - Number of Joints Defective / Total Number of Joints Radiographed x 100
2. RT Film Wise - Number of Repair Films / Total Number of Films Radiographed x 100
3. Length Wise  - Length of Repair / Total Length Radiographed x 100

Acceptance Limits as per Client Specification.

Random RT depends on Applicable Code + Client specification.

Example of ASME B31.3 as below.

Penalty for defective Joints as per Applicable Client Specification.

Thanks & Regards

It's client (End of User) requirements. For example Contactor shall deploy Welders with previous qualification records with proven performance of statistical repair rate less than 3% and continuity of Welding within 6 months. (Number of joints repair/Total Radiographed X 100)
Normally industry practices keep it with in 3% repair rate.
