WPS & PQR Qualification as per UW-13 of ASME Section Viii Division 1 for Corner Joints

Is it possible to anybody for sharing the WPS & PQR as sample or reference for the Corner Joints as per the ASME Section Viii Division 1 U-13.

if possible kindly share without any company names or hidden it.

U 13 don't need special WPS PQR. Butt weld WPS you can use.

1. Code Reference Correction

You mentioned ASME Section VIII Division 1 U-13, but the correct reference for Corner Joints is:

ASME Section VIII Division 1, UW-13 (not U-13)

UW-13 covers "Corner Joints for Non-Circular Vessels"

2. ASME Section IX Requirements

For TWP (Welding Procedure Specification) and PQR (Procedure Qualification Record):

These are required by ASME Section IX, NOT Section VIII

Section VIII = Vessel design/construction rules

Section IX = Welding procedure qualification requirements

3. Corner Joint Specifics (UW-13)

According to UW-13:

Corner joints have joint efficiency E = 1.0 (per UW-12 table)

Minimum weld throat requirements must be met

Lab tests required when using Appendix 28 alternative provisions
