Any idea whether EN 10204 type 3.1 ( or 3.2 ...) number should or shall appear on the test certificate (i.e printed on the certificate), having met the requirements of the EN 10204..
Refer attachment of POSCO (without 3.1 print on it).

Dear Sir,
There is no mention of EN number shoud or shall appear on the test certificate". As such EN 10204 does not speak about this point.
Most Mills are printing it, few of them (example POSCO sometimes) are not printing.
Could you provide contact details of the staff of EN Body/committe, who is having Authority on this subject who can put an end my query.

Dear Gireesh,
As previously stated, you must follow the standard as it is written. If it states that the EN number should appear on the test certificate, then you should follow this guideline. If it does not state this, then there is not a requirement to do so. All the details are given in the standard, which should be read in full. BSI British Standards is not able to provide any kind of supplementary information, and we do not have technical experts available to answer such queries.
If you need further assistance applying the standard then we would suggest you seek professional guidance from a consultant or professional body.

Users of a standard should be able to rely upon the standard saying the same

Dear Sir,
POSCO, KOREA is not mentioning the
reference to EN10204 3.1 in the Mill Certificate of plate.
However they are claiming that, they will provide the general Guarantee letter
which will state that, the material is meeting the requirements as per 3.1.
POSCO claims that, as per EN10204, there is no requirement to specify
EN10204 3.1 in the certificate itself, though it is in accordance to 3.1.
Appreciate your response regarding the interpretation.
